The social media giant Facebook founded in 2004 by Mark Zukerberg has announced a change of company name called Meta. The company which also owns Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp, and Oculus has re-brand to a new name that will reflect their company’s business portfolio which is beyond just social media networking but to push ahead with plans to develop a metaverse, an online community where people can meet, play and work virtually.
This change doesn’t mean the name Facebook which refers to the social media platform has changed but now the main company name will be Meta.
